Parkside Soap Shop - Giveaway!

*Press Sample*

Here at Polish & Plates I have an obsession with all things bath and body. I daresay that I'm more into bath and body products then I am nail polish (gasp!).  So when my co-worker told me about a local friend of hers that makes great soaps of course I was intrigued. I love indie made bath and body products and I'm always interested in makers from my beautiful home state of Colorado.

Meet Parkside Soap Shop! The maker of Parkside Soaps is Kjersten and she has been making soaps for 3 years now.  In addition to great soaps she also has a number of other amazing products including salt & sugar scrubs, bubble bars, bath bombs, bath truffles and more!

She was sweet enough to send some of products for me to try and I'm going to tell you about them today! Also, stay tuned for a little giveaway at the end!

I started with the Pumpkin Pie Salt Scrub, which smelled heavenly! This salt scrub is awesome! The texture is light and fluffy and it was a  gentle scrub that left your skin soft and smelling amazing.  I highly recommend this salt scrub and I'd love to see what other scents may be available.

Also, how cute is the packaging?! Love these polka dots!

Next up I tried this Pumpkin Sugar Scrub. I'm all about ALL THINGS PUMPKIN a this time of year and this was exactly what I wanted.  How cute is the packaging?!

Look at those beautiful layers of Pumpkin Sugar Scrub! This sugar scrub was more dense in texture then the salt scrub and provided a more coarse scrub than the salt scrub but it was still gentle.  This product also had some great oils and butters in it that left me barely needing lotion after use.

While the Pumpkin Sugar Scrub is no longer available you can check out several other scents on the website.  8 oz jars are available for $15.00 in scents like Japanese Cherry Blossom and Black Raspberry Vanilla.

Sole Food - Pedicure Luffa Bar (Sage & Lemongrass)
This was the most unique product from Parkside Soaps that I received.  This Pedicure Luffa Bar has a luffa sponge inside the cooling soap to help exfoliate, cleanse and scrub.  The oatmeal and buttermilk side is great for soothing dry and cracking heels.

I use this cooling soap on my feet everyday and its wonderful! Its not currently available on the website for purchase, but you can message Parkside Soaps to find out more about future availability.

Parkside Soaps has a Sole Food line with a lotion bar in a tube, bubbling foot soak, and a menthol scrub. I'm looking forward to checking those out as well.

Last but certainly not least is the soap! I mean it is Parkside Soap Shop!

I got to try this wonderful Satsuma Soap which has a bright, fresh orange scent.  I love soaps and this did not disappoint!  In addition to smelling and looking beautiful it has a great lather and it was really moisturizing.  At $6.00 a bar its also a great price for the high quality ingredients! A few types of soap are available on the website but you can also message Parkside Soap Shop to see what may be available.

I loved this soap so much that I asked Kjersten about what all soaps she had available. Since she sells a lot of product at local events and shops sometimes the best way to see what she has is by visiting her Facebook page or contacting her directly to check availability.

Just today I received my order of soap including Mayan Gold, Very Merry Cranberry, Vanilla Bean Noel, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Hot Apple Pie and Mediterranean Fig.

Both the Oatmeal Milk & Honey and the Mayan Gold were extra's that Kjersten added to my order.  The Mayan Gold is a patchouli with plumeria and orange.  It is really a nice fragrance and surprisingly popular across the board for patchouli!

Aren't they all beautiful?! In particular I'm in love with the way Very Merry Cranberry looks and smells.

I'm really glad to have found this local indie bath product artisan close to home. With more products and stock on the way I can't wait to see what Parkside Soap Shop will come out with next!

I highly recommend checking out Parkside Soap Shop for either yourself or for holiday gift giving! Be sure to LIKE their page on Facebook and shop online at http://www.parksidesoapshop.com/.
