Extra Crispy Walkers - Native War Paints

Recently I brought you a look at Extra Crispy Walkers from Native War Paints, which I had swatched as apart of my review (read that here) of the Mini Indied Box.  Extra Crispy Walkers is part of the The End of the Tracks collection which is based on The Walking Dead. The burnt walkers in the episode "The Grove" are the inspiration behind this glittery black jelly.

When I posted my review, my friend Michelle of Lacquer or Leave Her! commented on my post about how much she loved this polish and the scene in The Walking Dead that it was inspired by. Seeing as though Amanda from Native War Paints had generously sent me a full size bottle of the polish in addition to the mini in the box, I decided I wanted to give the bottle to a loving home and that was with Michelle.

One of the things I love about indie polish and polish blogging is the sense of "community" there is. Michelle was excited to get the polish and we discussed doing a "twins" post.  I adore Michelle's blog (seriously, check out her stamping plate reviews! the best!) and have always wanted to work with her. Seeing as though the Walking Dead is coming back in February for Valentines Day, we decided to do a themed mani with the polish.  While Michelle's is pretty avantguard and mine is more simple I think they are a fun representation of the polish and its theme.
Here is what I used to do my mani: Uberchic Beauty Stamping Plate (1-03), MdU Stamping Polish in Red, Creative shop Stamper (Beautometry) and Topped with Love Topcoat (Love, Angeline). I don't have an actual Zombie themed plate (though UberChic makes an awesome one) but the below image reminded me of oozing blood (doesn't that just scream valentines day!? lol).

And here is my final mani!  Its Be sure to jump over to Lacquer or Leave Her to see more pictures of her mani and the fun (and twisted story behind it!) and how she created her version! Don't forget to check out Lacquer or Leave Her on Facebook as well!  Have you tried Extra Crispy Walkers? Are you excited for the return of The Walking Dead? Tell me what you think below! I'd love to head from you!

You can find Extra Crispy Walkers and tons of other beautiful polish online in Native War Paints online store! I can't wait to see what new indie polish I will love next and what mani it may inspire. The next Mini Indied box will launch in February and will again feature 10 indie brands in one box! Join the group on Facebook to find out more and stay tuned to my Instagram as I'll be bringing you the swatches!
