The Joy from Coast to City: Best of Seattle Beauty box features exclusive nail colors from Joy Lacquer and manicure and hand care products from other exceptional Seattle makers. Each month you have the option to select one of two limited edition polishes for box subscribers only. Your selection will ship on the first of the month accompanied by products from some amazing partners. All sure to delight you and capture the essence of the season. And I've got the first box to show you today! Lets go ahead and jump right in to the August box, shall we?

Joy Lacquer will offer two exclusive polishes for all of the Best of Seattle beauty boxes! The standard box comes with your choice of one polish, but you can choose to add the second for only $5.00! Lets take a look at the August color selection.

Borealis Berry is a dreamy loganberry cream shimmer, with a subtle blue shift.  Otherwise known as OMG IT'S PURPLE, I MUST HAVE IT! I love love love this polish. Flawless formula and application.

Beach Bonfire is a brilliant metallic copper with gold glitter undertones. This reminds me of a shiny new penny. Its really quite a stunner! Again super formula and simply amazing!

City Gloe has included a lavender lemon organic sugar scrub (2oz) with lavender buds and a sweet lemon scent added. You will not need lotion after using this scrub as is made with the best ingredients to keep your skin moisturized.

City Gloe Lavender & Lemon Sugar Scrub. Look at all those lovely dried lavender buds!

Use on hands, feet or anywhere else on your body that needs some extra TLC. I love to use a scrub before I do a mani soak or before shaving my legs. This one smells amazing and is dotted throughout with lavender buds. It really feels luxurious and makes your skin super soft! Not to mention that you smell amazing afterwards. I recently used this in the shower and then had to run to pick up my daughter at school. Upon walking in one of the teachers was like "you smell amazing!".

You can find City Gloe on Facebook and Instagram and as well as learn more about the brand and other products they offer in her Etsy store! I'm definitely impressed by this scrub and it makes me really want to check out what else they have to offer!

Coast & Clearing created a Frankincense & Lemonbalm Cuticle Oil  roller ball tube for this month's box.  Filled with cuticle/skin nourishing ingredients like frankinscense, lemonbalm, apricot and sunflower oils. The oil itself is great for on the go, absorbs well and has a deep woody/earthy scent with notes of lemon. The scent is really different and quite fresh. I was recently at a spa getting a manicure when I whipped this out to share with the nail techs. They were both in love with the scent and very interested in the product.

I don't think I've ever seen some of these ingredients in a cuticle oil so I wanted to find out more!
  • Frankincense: possesses anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, immune-stimulating properties; assists in lessening scars, wounds, and warts; increases activity of leukocytes in defense of the body against infection; contains antidepressant properties; aromatherapy may help with nervous conditions, tension, mood imbalance.
  • Lemonbalm: possesses antibacterial, antihistamine, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties; noted antiviral properties; helpful with skin conditions such as eczema and erysipelas when applied topically; as a light, delightful lemon scent.
  • Apricot oil: softens delicate skin around eyes, mouth, and neck; leaves no film – good for sensitive and prematurely-aged skin; very high in vitamins A, C, & E.
  • Sunflower oil: lightweight, absorbs easily, leaving a protective "second skin"; rich in vitamins A, D, & E – high in essential fatty acids & lecithin; deeply nourishing and conditioning – good for dry, mature, damaged skin.
You can find Coast & Clearing on Facebook and Instagram as well as learn more about the brand and other products they offer in their Etsy store.
