Beautometry Giveaway & Il était un Vernis Review

Il était un vernis
English: There was a varnish
La petite marque frenchie de vernis à ongles créés avec beaucoup d'amour (et quelques paillettes).
The little Frenchie brand of nail polish created with much love (and some glitter).

I don't speak any french but this brand makes me wish I did because its been love at first sight for me with Il etait un vernis. I saw this french indie brand launch online in 2014 and proceeded to stalk their social media and fellow bloggers for swatches.  Their first collection, Once Upon a Time, included several drool worthy colors. Then came License to Polish in which I became just slightly more obsessed. Now comes Végétal filled with spring inspiration.

While the brand ships internationally I've told you all before that I prefer to buy from importers in the US to cut down on shipping fees and time. Recently Beautometry started carrying the polishes and I couldn't have been happier! Let me introduce you to Beautometry!

Beautometry - "Beauty down to a science"
Beautometry is a small Virginia based business, started at the beginning of 2012 in order to bring international nail brands that you love to the United States. There are a wide variety of products that, until now, have been hard to find in the United States.  The goal of Beautometry is to offer great products from around the world at reasonable prices with great customer service. The most important thing about Beautometry that the owner wants customers to know is that she strived to create not only a place to purchase nail polish and nail art accessories from around the world but also a community to be able to share ideas, learn new techniques and hopefully bring a little more happiness to people through nail art.

So Beautometry and I are bringing you a fun contest to spread the word about Beautometry! More on that below, but first lets talk about my very first Il etait un vernis!
(LtoR) In Teal We Trust, Live Love Laugh, Beyond Words

BEYOND WORDS itself as the must-have of the collection

This rosé purple (it is right in the Radiant Orchid trend) hides a golden flash that reveals oblique light. This is almost a one coat wonder polish.

Here I used two coats with a glossy top coat. I found the formula to be perfection (like A England) not too thick, not too thin. It also dried quickly and evened out nicely.  The polish has a lot of depth with a scattered holo sparkle. Its a little vampy and a polish I think would be universally loved by all ages! This one would look gorgeous with any skin tone!

Natural Sunlight

IN TEAL WE TRUST all our beliefs together in a bottle

A gorgeous teal blue with a scattered holo finish. It has an almost duo-chrome effect to it and is very multidimensional. I used two coats though you may be able to get away with one. It has the same amazing formula as Beyond Words. Its simply a stunning color if you are a teal addict like myself. Gorgeous!

LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH the ally of choice for all your crazy nail art ideas!

An assembly of gold sequins, copper and silver, fine holographic glitter, all in a transparent base. You can wear it in two layers for more coverage but the beauty really shines as a compliment to your nail art. Its PACKED with glitters in various sizes (including super fine micro holo glitter particles) but the base is thin and easy to manage and the glitter payoff is amazing. No digging for glitter here!

I believe this is going to become my go to glitter. And you all KNOW I love me a glitter gradient! Oh how I wish I had a macro camera to show this to you! Trust me on this one!

I can't wait until I can pick more colors from this amazing french indie brand! There are so many of these that I really really want! Good thing I have a birthday coming up!

Il etait un vernis nail polishes are 5 free, meaning they contain no formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde resin, camphor. 24. Beyond Words IS really beyond words! That rosy, plummy red is flattering even on my pitifully pale skin! (Sorry if it looks like I entered the drawing twice - I don't think the first entries went through. My phone went nuts, so I started over on the laptop.)
