City Chic Collection - Mystic Muse Nail Lacquer

This month Mystic Muse Nail Lacquer brings us the City Chic Collection. This 5 piece collection is inspired by the city that never sleeps, New York City! Each polish in the collection is inspired by something in NYC that the creator of Mystic Muse loves. There is a little something for everyone in this collection, a shimmery creme, a matte, a jelly and even a chrome color shifting flakie!

For all the swatches I used Mystic Muse's 'All About the Base' base coat and their Crystal Clear topcoat. I highly recommend purchasing these items to go with your Mystic Muse Collection. I have found that using these together really gives you the best, most long lasting mani.

Without further adu, lets take a peek at the chic!

AT THE BALLET
A soft ballet pink cream, that is a beautiful neutral for the days a softer look is desired!

This pink is so delicate, like the pink of a ballet slipper with a beautiful shimmer to make it sophisticated. I used 2 coats for these photos. I did find that this polish is probably the thickest Mystic Muse creme I have used thus far. Two coats was all that was needed. Note the first coat will be a little streaky.

CITY LIGHTS
A multi chrome color shifting flakes topper.

This is my first multi chrome flakie, though the trend has been all the rage. This does not disappoint. The flakes move through a whole rainbow of colors including green, gold, bronze, blue and burgundy. The base of this flakie is great, its not very thick so you don't get a ton of added product but get great flakie payoff! I did a quick glitter gradient over At The Ballet and just loved it. I'm now thinking of all the things I want to do with this polish. #FlakieAllTheThings

SINGING THE BLUES
Is the perfect royal blue lacquer that has enough sparkle to be her own spotlight!

Have I told you that blue is my favorite color?! Even if blue isn't your favorite color this polish may make you change your mind. The polish has an amazing formula and has a slight metallic finish. Its really a true royal blue and stunning! I used two coats in these photos and found no staining when it was removed.

Natural Sunlight
MAMMA ROSA
Say hello to our first matte lacquer! Momma rosa is a ultra smooth coral/rose.

Check out the special matte polish bottle for Momma Rosa! I found that this polish pulled more coral/orange in these photos but there is a rose hue to it. Now I don't usually reach for matte polishes (I probably only have a half dozen) but I do love this one. Its different and still has some shimmer for a matte. Not to mention I can put a glossy top coat on it for another gorgeous look! I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

With Glossy Top Coat
 SOCIALITE
Is a little bit of everything amazing, mixed into one show stopping color full of bling! Would you expect anything less from a socialite? A sheer feminine pink jelly with beautiful eye catching, holo glitter in assorted sizes and colors!

These pictures do not even do the sparkle in this pink jelly justice! On a 1-10 sparkle meter (there should be one of those by the way) this is a 10+ for sure! Even though its PACKED with glitters it was super easy to apply with great glitter pay off. I used 3 thin coats for these picture but you could likely use two.

Want to see more? I made a video of the collection which you can view here. This is my first video so I hope you like it! (Don't worry the next one will be better too! Don't give up on me yet!) Also go check out That Gal Jenna's review for some amazing macro shots of these polishes!
