Stamping Staples - MdU Stamping Polish and LeaLaC XL Stamping Plates from Llarowe

In a recent post I shared about the amazing experience I had visiting the Llarowe flagship store in Ft. Lupton, Colorado.  While I was there I got to pick up a ton of stamping polishes from Mundo de Unas (MdU).  This is a new indie brand to Llarowe, known around the world for the variety of colors especially made for stamping. Mundo de Unas is a small company in Mexico founded in 2013. I realize now that one of the things that really hampered my first attempts at stamping were lack of the right, quality products. As I mentioned in my post about finding the right stamper, using the right stamping polish really helps increase the quality of the image. You are certainly welcome to test any and all polishes for their stamping ability - I encourage creativity! I have just found that these, while smelly, are particularly good. The polishes are all cruelty free but are not 3free to my knowledge. They should only be used for stamping.

Be sure to roll/mix polish. This can take a few minutes sometimes as the polishes are very very thick (that is why they are great for stamping!). I like to clean my plate image with an acetone pad after each image. I know its probably a little excessive (feel free to see if you can try a few swipes before cleaning!) but I have found it gives me the most crisp image. And lets be honest if its not "perfect" I'm going to obsess about it. Saves me time in the long run ;)

Only a portion of the variety of colors offered!
Leah Ann generously provided me with a set of new LeaLaC XL Stamping plates to test out the new Mdu polishes. These plates are especially made XL which is key for those with wide and/or long nails/nail beds.

Plate A includes 44 designs - 31 are XL designs with 13 smaller coordinating designs. The plates have a good variety of patterns, style and detail. Look for these plates in an upcoming issue of Nail It Magazine!

I wanted to do something with with my new bottle of 'Having Bruno's Babies' from the Colors by Llarowe Ode to Bruno Collection. Its so beautiful and sparkly on its own that I had to show you a picture. Swoon! But I did decide to stamp over it with 'Mexican Pink' MdU polish for this post.  I've been rocking this look for 3 days now with no chips! (knock on wood) I used HK Girl top coat and Julep Ta-Da! quick dry drops in all these photos.
